About

My name is Dr. Lance M. Mahoney D.C. I have been a chiropractor for 16 years. I graduated from Northwestern Chiropractic College in 2001 and also earned a biology major and a chemistry minor from the University of LaCrosse Wisconsin in 1997. I have two previous practices both in the state of Iowa. The warm weather final drew me out to San Diego 4 years ago permanently and I have been practicing here since.

After a neck injury from wrestling in college I seeked out chiropractic care which I benefited in ways I did not think were possible. This lead me to take a interest in the profession and eventually lead me to chiropractic school and a career in chiropractic.

My chiropractic philosophy is that your nervous system (brain and spinal cord) is the master system in your body. This system is protected by bone (skull and back bone). Your back bones is in 24 segments called vertebrate. These vertebrate can mis-aligned and we call these subluxations. Which means a bone out of place putting pressure on nerves shutting off nerve flow from the brain to the tissue. This can cause all sorts of havoc to how your body functions.

Its the chiropractors job is to find subluxations and re-align the mis-alignment, thus reducing pressure on the nerve. This allows the body to return to functioning at a higher level, and allows the body to heal itself.

It is of my opinion that most people can benefit from chiropractic care.
